The Refuge Explorers program for 4th grade students returned this year at the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge and was another great success. Volunteers are an integral part of this program, helping to connect students to nature.
Volunteers joined us for classroom sessions, and on the field trips in April they will small groups of students through the Refuge’s various habitats, making observations, and asking questions. The students will have an opportunity to interact with biologists and view live aquatic critters!
Email us at willapa@fws.gov if you are interested or have any questions about participating.
