Willapa National Wildlife Refuge Walk

Join naturalist Rebeca Lexa on Sunday, April 24 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 or 4:00 to explore the Refuge’s beautiful Tarlatt Slough near Long Beach.

This 1.4 mile easy walk offers views of seasonal wetlands, open fields, young coastal forests, and coastal prairie restoration areas. Walkers might see raptors, sparrows, waterfowl, and barn, tree, and violet green swallows.

This walk is sponsored by the Friends of the Willapa Wildlife Refuge. The Friends are planning monthly walks in different Refuge locations. Would you like to join the Friends to support the Refuge’s mission and to meet others interested in the natural world? Membership info
